Lisa joined ANA in 2019 with broad health law and policy experience, with a focus on health care financing and systems, having monitored and informed implementation of major legislation such as the Affordable Care Act and creation of the Medicare drug benefit.

Lisa will be presenting the Federal Update -What’s on the Drawing Boards for Nurses and Patients? The presentation will include the following topics: how to identify opportunities for advocacy at the federal level, how to assess what policy initiatives mean for nurses and the profession in the future, how to formulate action plans to engage with policymakers on key concerns for nurses and their patients, and how to access tools and information to support advocacy plans.
