Wyoming Nurses Association

A Message from SW Region President, Carla Lee

Posted almost 4 years ago

The SW Region has many outstanding nurses. Due to the strange times, we did not solicit nominations for awards during nursing week. The board would like to take time now to recognize the stellar work that has been done by nurses in our region.

Please consider nominating a nursing colleague. We will then be selecting a winner for the region and sending the nomination to the state award committee.

Nominations must include a narrative statement and can be sent to carlalee18@yahoo.com no later than 7/22/2020.

Award categories are as follows:

NURSING LEADERSHIP IN THE WORKPLACE: RN who role models high-quality nursing practice

NURSING LEADERSHIP IN ADVANCE PRACTICE NURSING: APRN who provides a positive impact to patients or peers in the work setting.

EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP-LIGHTING THE WAY: WNA member who, during their career, has provided support to the values of WNA and the profession of nursing in Wyoming.

FACES OF OUR FUTURE NURSES: RN who has been licensed 5 yrs or less who is known for innovative practice, service in the community, or specific program that will serve the public in the area they practice.

INSPIRING OUR FUTURE NURSES: Nursing instructor who has been a positive influence on the future nurses of Wyoming.

COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE AWARD: Health system or individual hospital for a collaborative project which shows an interdisciplinary approach to best practices that resulted in improved patient outcomes, or cost saving.

Thank you for all of the hard work you have been doing during these difficult times.  You are appreciated.

SW Region Board of Directors,

Carla Lee, President
